Flagship Power & Patch Management Solutions NightWatchman® and 1E WakeUp™ Approved for Rebates Under Manitoba Power Smart Program
London & New York, 10 December 2009 – 1E, a leading provider of software and services which reduce organizations’ IT costs and environmental footprint, today announced that Manitoba Hydro, one of Canada’s largest suppliers of natural gas and electricity, has approved 1E’s flagship power and patch management solutions NightWatchman and 1E WakeUp for rebates under the Manitoba Power Smart Program.
The Power Smart Program covers a comprehensive range of measures by which Manitoba Hydro’s commercial customers can save money while reducing their environmental impact. As part of this, the Network Energy Management Program encourages people to reduce the unnecessary energy that personal computers use. It offers commercial customers a 100% rebate to install network management software, such as NightWatchman and 1E WakeUp, which shut down PCs when they are inactive and allows network administrators to perform regular maintenance tasks, such as IT upgrades and installations.
