Chief People Officer

Laura Smith is the Chief People Officer at 1E, where she is responsible for developing our global workforce. She brings a wealth of HR experience across various industries, with a strong focus on technology and automotive sectors having held senior positions at Tesla, Hyundai and Renaissance Learning.

Her expertise spans a wide range of HR functions, with significant experience in high growth, transformation, and globalisation initiatives. Laura is deeply passionate about supporting organisations with a compelling mission and vision and fostering a fantastic culture. She leads with passion and empathy and is committed to enabling success at 1E through our people.

When she’s not working with the global workforce to accomplish the 1E mission, she spends her time with her small string of competition horses, who compete in international showjumping and eventing.

She resides in the UK, with her partner Jason, and horses Mango, Pesto and Toby.
