Today Gartner released their first Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Management Tools. As you can guess by this blog’s headline, we at 1E are quite excited about our placement as a leader in the space. 

But before going into too much detail, let’s go back a few years. When the pandemic hit in 2020, 1E was focused on how our technology could help companies transform alongside the growing “work from anywhere” movement. By the time we entered 2022, we realized something bigger was taking place. It wasn’t just about employees needing and wanting to work remotely. It was about the broader digital employee experience. We felt our technology and edge-intelligence architecture was well-suited to deliver both sides of the DEX value proposition: 

  • To create frictionless IT experiences for the employee 
  • To deliver seamless IT operations to End-User Computing (EUC) and Service Desk teams 

So, at the beginning of 2022, 1E set DEX as our North Star and set out to build the world’s fastest, most robust enterprise SaaS DEX platform. 

We quickly realized that DEX is a journey. Not just for us as we continue to enhance our platform, but for our customers, too, as they increase their digital workplace maturity. The publication of Gartner’s DEX Management Tools Magic Quadrant is a clear sign that the DEX market’s adoption cycle is entering the early majority. In other words, DEX has crossed the chasm.

Back to the Magic Quadrant. 1E has been recognized as a Leader in the August 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Tools. This report provides valuable insights on why 1E is positioned as a Leader, noting that 1E scored in the top half of vendors for all use cases.

Gartner’s report also names 1E as having the second-largest global market share in their research. In a separate, earlier report, Gartner’s “IT Operations Management Software, Worldwide, 2023” market share analysis, 1E has the top marketing share in Digital Employee Experience in North America and is the fastest growing vendor globally. 

Earlier this month, Gartner also released the “2024 Hype Cycle for Digital Workplace Infrastructure & IT Operations.” In it, they named 1E a recommended vendor three times for:  

  • Autonomous Endpoint Management 
  • IT Sustainability Management 
  • DEX Tools
