Greetings from Boston, where 1E was delighted to host its second annual Customer Advisory Board (CAB) this week. We were privileged to take part in sessions lead by key industry analysts and IT leaders at leading global brands who shared their challenges and successes in managing complex and distributed IT environments.
Following on last year’s resounding success, we were really thrilled about this year’s event, which once again gave us the opportunity to share and gather feedback on 1E’s vision for the future with some of our most valued customers and leading industry analysts – and it did not disappoint!
We kicked off proceedings on Tuesday with a tour of legendary Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox, and witnessed an electrifying 9-6 home team win against the Atlanta Braves! Aside from it being a personal ambition of mine to see Fenway and the Red Sox up close, the day provided everyone with a chance to unwind before we got down to business the following day.
This year, in addition to unveiling our new product roadmap, we wanted to share 1E’s vision to simplify and speed up the entire software lifecycle; from the initial request through to the procurement, delivery, management and retirement of software across the IT estate.
However, the real purpose of the CAB is for us to hear what our customers have to say, to listen and learn from their challenges and insights, taking them on board so that we can deliver solutions that answer their needs.
1E CAB 2015 in Boston; Software Lifecycle Automation client event
Among the participants were senior technology directors from Bank of America, Coca-Cola, Nordstrom, Novartis, BNY Mellon, Nike, Riverside Health, Becton Dickinson, Nationwide Insurance, Waste Management, and Dell. In addition, key analysts joined us from IDC, 451 Research and Forrester. And representatives from 1E included our heads of operations, products, customer services, marketing, engineering, and of course, 1E’s CEO and founder Sumir Karayi.

I’d like to say a big thank you to those who were able to join us to discuss key issues and objectives around systems management security, software audits and software lifecycle automation, and to those of our customers who shared their own stories and successes using 1E solutions.
All in all, it’s been incredibly valuable to have some of our top customers and industry analysts together in a room sharing ideas and feedback. We were very happy with the interactive discussions and debates and at this year’s event and look forward to using them to refine and improve our strategies and to hosting similar events in the future.
