London, UK and Austin, TX – May 29, 2024 – 1E, a leading Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform company, has experienced significant growth in the first half of 2024 – Launching groundbreaking AI technology, growing a robust cloud native platform, securing major deals in the public sector and consumer markets, and making strides to grow key channel partnerships. These milestones represent not only 1E’s massive momentum, but also a booming DEX market.
Earlier this year, the company announced 1E Intelligence, a significant progression of AI capabilities in the DEX market. For the first time ever, using 1E’s “intelligent sentiment” abilities, digital workplace leaders can accurately gauge employees’ digital experiences at scale.
“1E’s core purpose is to reimagine how technology serves people and creates new ways for IT to shape the future of work,” said Ian van Reenen, 1E’s Chief Technology Officer. “1E Intelligence, I believe, honors and advances that commitment.”
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has chosen 1E as their vendor for a three-year, $37 million deal that includes more than half a million endpoints. The VA, responsible for providing vital, life-saving services to America's veterans, will benefit immensely from the 1E Platform. The VA found that 1E is the only platform that meets their DEX and integration needs while delivering real-time remediations, even when endpoints are offline. Furthermore, the Department of Veterans Affairs is now sponsoring 1E to continue progress towards FedRAMP certification.
“By implementing our DEX solutions, the VA will streamline digital operations, reduce downtime, and improve the overall experience for their staff and the veterans they serve,” said Stephen Tarleton, 1E’s GM of the Americas and CMO. “We are proud to be a trusted vendor for the VA. It not only broadens our impact but also validates the robustness and adaptability of our platform – and the maturity of the DEX market in the U.S. It is a great honor for 1E to play a part in the VA’s noble mission.”
1E has also secured a first-of-its-kind deal with HP Inc., marking the company's entry into the consumer market. HP will include "HP Performance Assist powered by 1E" with every AI-enabled HP device starting this summer. HP Performance Assist works seamlessly with HP's latest device features and drivers, elevating the digital experience for millions of HP customers – making this the single largest DEX implementation ever. The software provides real-time performance insights, automated issue resolution, and enhanced security. This partnership showcases the versatility of the 1E Platform and demonstrates the scalability of its elastic, cloud native architecture. 1E was selected by HP due to the platform’s real-time remediation, automation capabilities, and scalable architecture. The partnership proves how seamlessly 1E technology integrates into existing technology ecosystems, delivering tangible benefits to end-users.
1E’s commitment to strengthening its cloud native platform has been key to growth in the first half of 2024. The 1E Platform is the only cloud native SaaS DEX solution built entirely on Microsoft Azure. 1E’s multi-tenant architecture running on Azure supports the elastic nature of cloud computing, meaning the service can easily scale up or down based on the customer's needs.
Geraint Thomas, Microsoft’s ISV lead for the EMEA region, heads the partnership between Microsoft and 1E. Here’s what he said about the importance of cloud-native solutions for organizations: "Embracing cloud-based resources is not just a technological upgrade; it's a strategic imperative for modern businesses. Cloud-native full SaaS solutions such as the 1E Platform offer greater security, scalability, and agility, enabling organizations to innovate continuously and respond swiftly to market demands. Businesses can experience less digital friction through automation and remediation, and a more seamless DEX so that they can better focus on their core competencies. In addition, being a full SaaS Cloud solution on the Microsoft Cloud platform, 1E is ideally positioned to exploit the AI opportunity offering a solid future direction for their customers.”
The channel is a fundamental component of 1E’s current and future growth plans. Earlier this year, Christian Nagele joined the 1E Executive Leadership Team as the new Senior Vice President of Global Channel and Alliances. Christian has held previous channel and go-to-market leadership positions at leading IT services companies such as Datto and SenseOn. In his role, Nagele and his team work with global system integrators, value-added resellers, managed service providers, and original equipment manufacturers to deliver scalability and fast deployment of DEX solutions.
These announcements represent pivotal points in both 1E's journey and the evolution of DEX.
“We are experiencing a new era in which intelligent digital experiences are becoming the norm for organizations and consumers,” said 1E CEO Mark Banfield. “1E’s collaboration with HP, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and each of our hundreds of DEX customers set a new standard for what can be achieved with innovative DEX platforms. The implications of these announcements extend beyond our own immediate growth. They underscore the importance of investing in robust DEX solutions. Providing a seamless digital experience for employees is crucial for maintaining productivity and satisfaction.”
