Comparing 1E Nomad with Microsoft peer-to-peer technologies

With recent releases, Configuration Manager has introduced BranchCache™ and Peer Cache to provide some level of peer-to-peer caching to reduce network traffic. In many ways, they provide similar capabilities to 1E’s Nomad however they both suffer significant limitations.

Although applicable to all content distribution, the ability to pre-stage content and distribute Windows 10 installation images using peer-to-peer caching will be critical to fast deployment of the OS upgrade.
